A Message from AMWA: You Have What It Takes To Stay "Strong to the Bone"

Osteoporosis is one of the most important health issues facing women in America - particularly women of the Boomer generation, who expect to be strong, active and independent late into life.

The fact is that we, as women, each have the power to stay "strong to the bone". Osteoporosis can be treated by various measures.

When it comes to maintaining bone health, there is a direct relationship between knowledge and action: women who are the most knowledgeable about osteoporosis are also the most likely to incorporate bone-healthy behavior into their everyday lives, according to a recent survey.

For that reason, we are proud to bring you Strong to the Bone, a nationwide awareness campaign to urge better bone health and encourage women to take steps to avoid fracture.

For more information about your osteoporosis risk and tips one how to fight the disease, please take the Strong to the Bone assessment.
